The mechanical system works by bringing fresh outdoor air inside the building through supply vents placed throughout the space while removing indoor contaminants through exhaust vents located near sources like bathrooms and kitchens.

2) Unbalanced Mechanical Ventilation

Balanced Mechanical Ventilation System:

This system is designed to keep both incoming and outgoing airflow at equal rates (hence the name balanced). It uses two fans – one for supplying fresh air while another extracts stale interior air out of the building. As this method continuously replaces indoor polluted air with cleaner outdoor air, it helps maintain healthy living conditions inside any structure.

Balanced mechanical ventilation systems offer several benefits over other types of ventilation methods. Organizational Styles of Ventilation Systems

Different types of ventilation systems require various organizational styles based on their design parameters and available resources. Here are four common styles used:

Spot Ventilation:

This system is designed to serve a single space (room), providing both supply and exhaust airflow within that area only. It’s commonly used in small commercial offices or residential apartments where there are no significant temperature variations throughout the day.

Multi-Zone System:

As the name suggests, this system involves supplying fresh air to multiple zones (areas/rooms), each having its exhaust vents connected through ducts connected via fans/motors placed at different locations inside/outside the building.

Multi-zone systems offer more flexibility over single-zone ones by allowing users greater control over heating/cooling conditions while also reducing energy consumption levels due to better airflow management.

Centralized System:

A centralized system provides conditioned fresh air through ducts placed throughout a building while simultaneously removing stale interior air using return ducts positioned near ceiling heights. These systems work best in large public buildings such as hospitals, schools, or commercial office spaces that require uniform temperature and humidity levels.

Centralized systems are expensive to install and maintain due to their complexity. However, they offer unparalleled control over indoor environmental conditions while also being energy-efficient when designed correctly.
