b) Avoid Smoking Inside Enclosed Spaces
Smoking produces carbon monoxide which is dangerous whether one inhales first-hand smoke directly or second-hand smoke that lingers in surfaces hence its best practice to avoid smoking within enclosed spaces when exploring.

c) Use Protective Gear
Always wear protective gear (face masks, gloves, goggles ) while exploring abandoned structures because you never know what contaminants or particles are present in the air. It’s better to be safe than sorry and protect your health from risks that come with exposure to harmful substances.

d) Properly Ventilate Before Entering
Ventilate an area for at least 30 minutes before entering it if possible. This will help reduce any toxic fumes that may have accumulated inside the structure which could pose a great risk to your safety
